The Dispatching Services are offered to keepers needing/ wishing to kill their chickens.

Where possible, keepers are encouraged to kill their birds themselves. As the carer for the animal, we consider it a more respectful death if carried out by the owner. The experience is also an important insight into the process of meat production. In order to make the process as quick and humane as possible, you will be guided through it, making sure everything is done the way it should.

The appointment can take place in the Farm’s abattoir, or at home, using our Assisted Killing Scheme.
