Do you and your neighbours not have the space to set up a Co-Coop on balconies or private gardens?
Do you and your neighbours live in a block of flats with a shared garden/ outdoor space?
Have you spotted un-used land in your local area?
You could start a community Co-Coop!
This scheme is recommended for larger numbers of members, with less space. It works in a similar way to the other Co-Coop schemes in which members share the responsibilities over their chickens and their produce.
Signing a Chickens Shared Ownership Agreement might not be suitable as Community Co-Coops tend to have larger numbers of members, with responsibilities as well as produce smaller for each individual member. However, it is recommended to decide upon your aims and the sharing of responsibilities and produce in your first Co-Coop team meeting, and prior to building your Co-Coop.
Attending a Co-Coop Keeping workshop is recommended for learning more about keeping chickens collaboratively. Please find more information here.
